Title: Regional Finishing Supervisor

Description: Regional Finishing Supervisor reports to General Manager of Contract Division and provides leadership in operating the Finishing Division to achieve high performance and Company goals. Primary responsibilities include leading and supporting Finishing Servicepersons with accountability to execute and achieve priorities and objectives.

Hours: Generally – Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:00pm; times may vary based on business needs; weekends and overnight travel as needed

Compensation: Salary, exempt; competitive based on experience, plus we offer an excellent benefits package

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide leadership to Finishing division, Site Managers and Contract Growers through strong communication, proactive prioritization and effective delegation
    Interface with Holden Farms Contract Partners to implement and manage Holden Farms protocols and standards at sites
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with Contract Partners/Growers
  • Attract, develop and motivate employees while effectively delegating and measuring performance
  • Analyze root cause of performance issues to address and enforce any issues that are out of compliance with HFI employees, Site Managers and  Contract Partners
  • Responsible for onboarding of new employees, and create an environment that is welcoming and promotes their growth and development
  • Train new hires and existing team on Holden Farms’ standard procedures and protocols
  • Strong understanding of barn ventilation, all controllers for sites, and able to train direct reports and contract growers on proper use
  • Responsible for ensuring quality of feed and feed budgets are followed
  • Maintain regular communication with Contract Growers, Truckers, HFI staff, Feed Mills, and HFI Veterinarians through phone, email, fax, and text
  • Oversee construction of new Finishing barn locations
  • Understand, follow and uphold Holden Farms Biosecurity Programs
  • Must have Valid Driver’s License, and reliable Truck for transportation

Education/Experience:

  • 5 years experience in management of 10 or more employees
  • Bachelor Degree in Management or relevant experience; MBA a plus
  • Proficient with computers, smart phones, spreadsheets and databases
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint)
  • No previous experience working with pigs required, training will be provided
